  2. Each quad is different for the engines. Some companies do better work with Yamahas than Hondas or Suzukis or vica versa. Elka and Axis are your two major suspension companies. Each has a different feel and you haveta get on someone elses bike and see which you like better. A lot of Suzukis have Ohlens now too. I wouldn't get Fox for Baja though. I don't know a lot about the bajas where you are but around here we have some cross country bikes that are set up as follows:

Elka or Axis shocks. +2 A-Arms. Stock Length swingarm. An extended axle (I'm not sure which company is making the best one right now. Axles are always changing). Rage ATV motors (they're out of Texas, great work with Hondas). Running straight VP C12. K&N Air Filters. GNCC Tires (I believe they're made by Maxxis).

Your bike should sit a little higher than a motocross quad but not as high as stock. Make sure your suspension is pretty plush if you're not doing any hard landings. A lot of people will tell you to get an aftermarket steering stem but no matter what kind of steering stem you get, it will still bend if you flip it the right way so just wait for stock to get messed up. A-Arms are preference too. But if you don't want to deal with the dealers BS I can refer you to JRD Racing. They're out of Glassboro, NJ. (856)881-5299
