The classes are easy. I'm taking a computer class, stats (I've already done all 3 calculus so this will be a joke), intermediate spanish, discrete math, a speech class, history, pe (just gym twice a week), breakdancing, piano, and helping out in the speech lab 3 hrs a week. I don't think this will be a big deal, but is it?

  1. As long  you are okay with it, and know what you are capable of that's pretty much all that matters.  I mean really only you know your level of commitment.

  2. It is not a big deal at all for someone who could care less about their GPA.  If you care at all about your GPA, I would cut way way back.  I am thinking that this is a joke question bc there is no college student who is this stupid

  3. I'm guessing you don't work. Even, though, it still seems like a pointless idea. Your life will be all school for the next 5 or so months.

Most people take 15 units. You're going to double that. So, 15 units is 5 classes, An hour twice a week for each class is 10 hours a week. You'll be in class for somewhere around 20 hours a week. Then it's advised to spend 2 hours studying for everyone 1 unit taken. So, for the average student that would be somewhere around 30 hours studying. For you: 60. In addition, it is advised to sleep 8 hours per night. That is 56 hours a week.

So, let's do the math. Assuming you approach this with the intent of spending around the recommended time for each activity this is what it looks like.

    Classes: 20 hours

    Studying: 60 hours

    Sleeping: 56 hours

    Hours in a week: 168

    Hours left over: 32

Now, factor in time to sleep, eat, shower, dress, etc... and you're down a few more hours. Where is the time for recreation (it can't be work all the time) and activity (nothing slows you down like never exercising).

Why would you want to do this? What's the point? To impress people? Trust me, it won't. They'll just think you're a fool and I'd wager you'll regret this decision pretty quick.

    Edit:

Yeah. Most schools don't even allow this, by the way. For good reason. My university cuts you off at 21.

  4. Most universities have a limit on the number of classes you can take.

Don't forget to factor in homework time.  Even in an easy class, you'll have some projects.  A lot of people sign up for more classes they can handle and then drop them. That's a pretty expensive way to do it. And if you have more than you can handle, you'll ruin your GPA.

If school is your whole life, than I guess it's your choice to take as many classes as you want. Personally, I wouldn't do that.
