I'm half way through my second week of college and haven't made any friends. Am I doomed?

This really sucks because high school was ten times easier for me to make friends, but in college there are a trillion people to make friends with. Its already been a week and a half and I don't know anybody. What can I do? My dorm is filled with juniors and sophmores so they all already have their group of friends and it seems that all the clubs and stuff conflict with my class schedule. I just can't go up to people and strike a convo. Its so awkward. And my roommate is TOTALLY annoying. I just don't know what to do. I am a very nice and cool person, I just don't know whats going on. I need your help

well don't forget that you've been there for just 12 days!! i've never been to a school where i've had good friends in such a little while!!! don't worry about it... after a month or so everyone will love you (that's what happened to me) since you're cool i'm sure that many people will like you as long as you give them the opportunity to!!! you could become friends with the people sitting next to you in classes (since you can't join any clubs). All you have to do is stay calm and not pressure things!! This will have the opposite effect! As for your roommate.... what can i say? Try to focus on the good aspects of her/his personality (although annoying). This will make things easier for you...
