I'm having a 16th bday party this summer & i need a theme.?

id like a more sophisticated theme for around 30 guests...

i really like vintage, hollywood glamour, and moulin-rouge type parisian ideas, but one of my other friends is having a 1920's themed party and i dont want to be a copycat...i want a theme that a lot of people can enjoy...it could be quirky or more fancy...just not something too boring (like beach themed)...

have a black and white hollywood theme .

everyone dress as there favorite actor/actress .

and they wear black and white and you wear a crazy insane color and stick out :]

have everyone bring a crazy swim suit and maybe after the party have your favorite people go swimming with you ( like your VIP )

i think you should go for the ball like theme you should enter like a queen no one can look better than you and you should have fancy food oh and it should be in the back yard just make it look like a garden fake flowers would be best and noncolored christmas lights hanging everywhere so it can look very ,magical hope i helped

like, hollywood glamour, except everybody has to come dressed in ur fave color, likelime green, ur dress is lime green, ur shoes r lime green, and all ur friends dresses r lime green

Sophisticated huh....so more into the grown up....yeah baby!!!!  Here's some ideas:

- Little black dress theme ......for guys, they will wear black as well._

- Monogram everything like invitations & favors (you can check out monogram/personalized wedding items).

- Use plastic wine or champagne glass

- Hors de'ourves/appetizers

- Cool DJ

- For entertainment: ask if anyone is willing to perform (have at least 3 performances)

- Buffet
