I just wanted to double check just incase, but i planned on bringing one of those small portable stoves to heat up some soup in a pot at my BBQ in the park. Just curious if its legal. I live in Northern California - Bay Area.

  1. you must call your local parks department, if it's not allowed you would end up getting a ticket and might incur a court appearance

  2. Yep, that's legal...we bring one out to the park or beach a few times a year, never had a problem.

  3. it's legal!

  4. Of course! Its no different that using a grill in the park! We do that all the time. Have fun at your BBQ!

  5. depends on the park - if there are fire restrictions and you are using open flame then of course not - you really should be asking the council responsible for the park in mention..i don't think anyone on here can really help you

  6. Ya know....wood is the best fireto cook on(hardwood.)..w/mesqite chips or hickory;which is less bitter to me)

But if you wanna do that(sove or gas...call your local park;those guys are usually pretty cool;they love people to use & support our parks,so just give them a call....see if they have anything else going on(that may interfere,or someting else of interet to do 4 yer party.

Lat timeI was in San Rahael...you could do all that;great parks in the whole bay area.

    bon appetite

  7. Call the park you are going to. Some will allow it, some won't. Since its just a stove, i don't see what the problem would be.

  8. its legal, at least it is in southern california so it shouldnt be different in nocal.
