I'm having a LSU football theme wedding. I was wondering where I could get ideas for decorations.?

I live in Arkansas so it is hard for me to find LSU things up here. If you have any helpful ideas, please let me know.

I am Having an LSU themed wedding also. We are using the purple and gold colors for the dresses, tuxedos and decorations. We are having a stadium for the wedding cake. Everyone that I have told about this idea thinks its great since LSU is the biggest thing around here.

Start with Party City. See if there is a college themed sports memorabilia store in your area.

Their colors are purple and yellow, right?  Well, those are very nice wedding colors.  Maybe rather than getting actual LSU decorations, you can just work the team colors into your color scheme, with yellow-and-purple centerpieces, purple table linens with yellow napkins, yellow and purple rosettes on your wedding cake, etc.  It will be much easier to do that than to try to work football paraphernalia into the wedding.  Other ideas:  Have the DJ play the LSU fight song as you and your groom enter the reception.  Find a novelty cake topper with the LSU logo or a couple of tigers in a bride and groom outfit or something.  Have the LSU logo emblazoned on your groom's cake, if you plan on having one.  Just don't do too much LSU or it will be overkill and you'll cross that fine line between whimsical and tacky.  (Don't feel bad- I cross that line all the time!)  Have fun with it, and as always, GEAUX TIGERS!!!

Also, you might like to play a customized football-themed slideshow made with pictures of your dating days, on a big screen during the reception.
