Yes, I am fully aware that it was almost a month ago, but that's kind of the point. It's an OOPS we missed St. Patrick's Day party.

I am making green jello shots and a cake with green icing, but I was hoping I could get some other ideas for food/decorations/things to do, etc. Cheaper ideas would be great too.

Thanks everyone!

  1. go out tredishal, food coloring for beer for adult's and cider for the kids make cornd beef and cabbage with a tint of butter yummy. cookies shaped like clovers, mint shakes. veggie tray's and the pastasio fluff, don't forget to dress in green! and have a blast!

  2. You could get a veggie tray, pepperoni and cheese, chips and pretzels.  You can also get a hoagie tray so there wont be too much of a mess after :)  Decorations...green party hats, green and white balloons and maybe some streamers to hang around.  All i can thing of right now.  Oh, plenty of music of course...lol.

  3. Get a clover cookie cutter and make anything you can out of that shape....even jello shots!

Use it to cut the finger foods into clover shapes, etc.  Why not make the cake a clover as well!

Also, go to a party store and buy any st. patty's day clearance items you can find and decorate with that.  There has to be tons of clearance items for this party.

See if you can't find green plastic hats or even beads to pass out to your party patrons so they're all in the spirit, since everyone knows there are those people that always come to a themed party out of costume...lol.

  4. Get r3eal

  5. PISTACHIO FLUFF

1 small pkg. pistachio instant pudding

    1 (9oz) carton Cool Whip

1 (8oz) can crushed pineapple, drained

    3/4 c. chopped nuts

    1/2 c. miniature marshmellows

Combine all together and chill for several hours.  Serve as dessert or salad.....

GREEN SALSA and chips ....   all GREEN VEGGIES and Spinach Dip ...   Get green tortilla wraps and spread them with softened cream cheese, a thin slice of ham & a thin slice of cheese.  Roll them up tightly (best to refrigerate an hour); then cut into 1-2" pieces (appetizers)  ...  Get some cheap tin bowls & spray paint them black.  Fill them with those gold-foil wrapped chocolate candy coins ($1 store)

You should still be able to find green crepe paper, confetti, balloons.  You can always cut big shamrocks out of green construction paper too.......
