I've been spraying around the windows and doors with ant killer. This morning I noticed they were crawling out from under the carpet into my bathroom. There was about a dozen. So I took the spray and followed the edge of the wall..spraying the whole apartment where the carpet meets the wall..hoping this will eliminate them for good. Anyone know of a better way to get rid of ants?

It doesn't help the college kids that moved in across the hall are leaving mcdonalds cups outside their apartment..ants were swarming over the cup this morning and I went across the hall and spray the heck out of that cup.

I'm so sick of ants!

  1. Go to a garden shop or hardware store and purchase a product called Terro. Ant killer, contains Borax.

    Follow directions on box.

  2. raid ant killer does great-read can says good for 4 to 6 weeks-spray problems areas

  3. Try hiring a professional person to do it! It works every time.

  4. Tarro makes an ant bait that the ants carry back to their colony and feeds the bait to the queen and other ants in the colony. It kills out the colony permanently.

Tarro takes a few weeks to fully kill all the ants in the colony, so you will need to keep spraying until the colony is dead. Just don't spray the line of ants coming and going to the poison bait trap.

  5. What I have done in the past (it smells), but wash the area

down with straight vinegar. There must be something that

the ants are attracted too.  The smell of vinager seems to

ward them off - try it and good luck.
