I'm having a bday party in bottle service...do I pay?

I'm thinking about having a bday party in vip at this club for bottle service, but it can get pretty expensive, like one bottle for $100 if I'm correct? So...if I'm planning on having some people celebrate with me, I pay for it, or should everyone go in on it, is that rude? What's the best option?

  1. Hello! Different people will have different opinions on this I suppose but I have included some info. that states it is not ok to expect your guests to pay for their own stuff. See below & hope this helps!

  2. Most VIP areas have set rules on bottle service.  A lot of them say one bottle per 4-5 people, so depending on how many people you have you might have to commit to more than one bottle and they will need a credit card to hold it for you.

I've done it before and as much as you would like to think your friends will pitch in, you normally end up putting most of the money in.

If I were you, I'd have a friend plan it for you and have them be responsible for things and tell them that you would like their help, it shouldn't be on you to plan all this and stress about your birthday!

  3. I say let people know ahead of time that you're getting a table. And try to get an idea of who is willing to put in for the bottle. Depending on your location and the type of alcohol you want to get it can be from $100-$275 a bottle generally speaking. And most likely, depending on the size of your group, you'll want more than one bottle. Either way, save up because people can also flake out at the last minute. Sad to say.
