I think you should have blue, and white as your colours. Vibrant colours are more eye popping and make you feel happy. Another idea is yellow and white.

I have always liked seafoam, orange and dark brown. You can do so much with those colors.

aqua (or a turquoise) and tan would be really pretty.

What about Cerelian Blue and White with pink, gold and beige highlights. Kind of like the color of the sun setting on the beach. Those are the best, and they are always so calming, like nothing could go wrong for the twenty minutes.

Who says you have to limit yourself to one set of colors?  The beautiful thing about a tropical wedding is the colors.  If I were marrying on the beach, I'd put my bridesmaids in different, brightly colored dresses (hot pink, lime green, bright orange).  Bring in lots of colorful flowers and dot your reception with lots of colorful pieces.

I am having a beach wedding and I decide just to use bright summer colors.  So mine are pink, lavender and yellow.  I think those colors will really stand out on the sand.
