It will be a mixture of kids and adults so it can't be anything too fancy. Plus, I want it to be an easy, light-hearted evening.

  1. Olio e Aglio Pasta

    8 ounces angel hair pasta

    1/4 olive oil

2 -3 large cloves of garlic, minced

    Grated Parmesan cheese

Boil the water for the pasta and heat the oil in a small pan. When the water boils and you add your pasta, stir it quickly so it doesn't stick.

Add the minced garlic to the oil. Do not overheat or the garlic will taste bad. You just want it softened and warmed.

Drain the pasta. Mix with the oil and garlic and top with grated Parmesan cheese.

  7. grilled hot dogs and hamburgers! cant get any easier for that.

a sandwhich bar, with cold cuts and peanut butter and jelly. you could have everyone make their perfect sandwhich and then grill them into paninis!! that would be cool!!

have a toppings bar with really good toppings for the burgers hot dogs and sandwiches, like bacon, pickles, chili, peppers, veggies, sauerkraut, condiments.. i think that panini idea would be really cool though, who doesnt love grilled sandwhiches! side dishes can be hot or cold, some good soup would be good, it would be like your own little panera in your back yard!

  8. Pasta is the way to go.  It's cheap and easy and mostly everyone likes it.  A big, great salad with the freshest stuff possible and loaves of good Italian Bread.  For apps. on the table you can have bowls of olives that you spice up with lemon zest and rosemary, bowls of ricotta cheese with fresh basil chopped up and mixed in with fresh ground pepper and a drizzle of olive oil and slices of fresh bread (crostini) to spread the cheese on.  Yummy.  A very easy summer pasta is to grill up your favorite veggies, cut them in bite size pieces after cooking, toss in plenty of balsamic vinaigrette with fresh herbs and mix into your cooked pasta.  You can also toss in some crumbled feta cheese.  Buon Appetito.  Hope this inspires you!

  9. why not do nachos?tacos and soapillas for dessert?w honey dripped over them?so yummy!!
