  1. I'm having the same problem right now as well!

I have almost gotten over it and it has been 4 days.

What I do is drink plenty of tea with lemon and honey in it, as honey will coat your throat and make it heal and feel better. The lemon does this as well.

Another thing is even tho you probably do not feel like eating, force yourself to eat many fruits. If you can bring yourself to eat something, drink lots of fruit juices and make sure they don't have a lot of added sugar. (A lot of refined sugar will make it worse, especially if you have a fever. It can lead to things like bacterial infections).

Make sure you get as much rest as you can handle.

If you cannot sleep after being in bed for 30 minutes, get out of bed and do something like play solitaire. As long as it is something that makes you tired where you can focus on one thing.

And if your bones and joints ache? Pop an Advil, which will also reduce fever!

    Best of luck!

  2. Drink plenty of fluids - try hot lemon and honey, made with real ingredients. Honey is very good for the throat and gives you energy.

Eat properly - don't go hungry. (Squeeze the juice of half a lemon into a mug and add two spoonfuls of honey and fill up with hot (recently boiled) water.)

Sleep as best as you can, Don't stay up late as Flu makes you feel worse the longer you go through the day.

Take regular breaks from study so that you don't wear yourself out.

Try not to stare at the computer screen for extended periods as this can be very draining.

Take a painkiller like paracetamol to reduce any fever and headache but check with your pharmacist first if in any doubt.

Good luck and hope you feel better soon!

  3. Drink A LOT! Water helps draining all the bacterias from your body. If your throat is soar, make some tea with lemon and honey.

Try to make this drink, I do it when I feel sick and I think it helps...

Squeeze one lemon and two oranges so you get all the juice. Use a garlic press to press two garlic cloves (or chop them finely with a knife). Stir and drink. It's not tasty at all, so just sweep it, don't sip. Oranges and lemons contains a lot of vitamine C and garlic is just good, so try that.

Good sleep, good food (lots of veggies and stuff) and a lot of water is the only thing that will speed up your healing process. I'm sorry to tell you that there is no miracle cure (at least none that I know of). Good luck now!
