  1. Pasta dishes can be cheap also how about a nice homemade curry x

  2. Since I don't know what you have on hand or how you usually eat, here are some ideas for standby cheap dinners:

    Ham and Beans,

    Spaghetti (w/o ground meat),

New potatoes w/ green beans and ham,

Macaroni and cheese w/ sausage in it.

For breakfast you could do oatmeal or cream of wheat.

For lunch you could have soup and sandwiches or leftovers from dinner.

  3. Rice is also inexpensive.

I cut up a couple pieces of chicken thighs, brown it, add onion and green pepper.  I season it with pepper, garlic, whatever you like.  Then I take a bag of frozen veggies, thaw it, add to the chicken, and then add cooked rice to all of it.  I sprinkle soy sauce on it.  It's a cheap version of fried rice.

You could use pork if you want.  You can also do this with Ramen noodles instead of rice.

  4. Check at Kraftfoods.com.  They have a section that I like to use often called "One bag, 5 meals"  You can choose the types of meals that you like based on chicken, pork or other meats.  I have a family of four and the meals tend to feed us and sometimes with a little leftovers.
