I'm having a moulin rouge party for my 21st and need some help?

I wanted a dress but I can't find any nice ones for less than £100. Does anyone know where I can find one local to the Tameside area (near manchester, England). Please help me. Other than that if you'd like to suggest any ideas for my party I'd be happy to hear them. Come on people... Help a girl in need! ! !

I don't know how you'd feel about buying off ebay, but I looked up new, never worn corsets and stuff, and there's some really nice ones on there, like http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Steel-Boned-Black-...

But have a look in vintage-y shops and even try customising things that you already have. Like, if you have a corset-like top, you could add lace and feathers or whatever...

For the party, everything will have to be really luxurious seeming. Just watch the movie and I'm sure it'll give you plenty of ideas. Reds and golds and blacks, very extravagent. Fake diamonds maybe? It's be cool to put fake diamonds in the bottom of the glasses on the table (if there are gonna be any), obviously before people pour their drinks!

If you watch the movie, there's a lot of almost indian themeing coming through, all very intricate and detailed. Just keep that in mind and I'm sure you'll do fine.

You can get blood capsules from a magic store.

Hide them in a white hankerchief , and cough in to it while breaking the capsule. This will simulate T.B.

try looking for a used vintage dress, in church sales, or what the english call car boots, then for food look up creole or cajun or louisianna foods, such as gumbos, dirty rice, the cajuns eat alot of crayfish, but you could always substitute prawns or shrimp. buy some masks, and lots of beaddy necklaces, try the pound shops. moulin rouge as you know was set in new orleans, la. so  add the mardi gras theme, good luck and have fun with it.

Use red and black as color palettes for the party.  Moulin Rouge backdrops are available online.  Spread out a red carpet, hang red and black streamers,  and inflate red and black balloons. Wear red, elegant gowns with extravagant jewelry (real or faux).  Add accessories, such as red and black boas, garters, feathered fans, sequinned headbands, satin gloves, petticoats, or sashes. Corset tops with long beaded skirts are other elegant choices. Can-Can girl costumes can be purchases online or at a party store.  Men should wear suits with bowties, vests, tophats, and black leather shoes. Wear a handlebar moustache for a nice touch. Rent or buy a neon Moulin Rouge sign.  Decorate the space as if it was a turn of the century Parisian cabaret. Cabaret entertainment included an MC, female vocalists, and a live band. Hire these entertainers to recreate classic songs from the musical, such as "Diamond's Are a Girl's Best Friend."  If this is not in the budget, simply play the Moulin Rouge soundtrack or sing Karoake. Use a big screen to show the movie. Enjoy a buffet of French delicacies with Champagne or wine. The Moulin Rouge DVD and soundtrack made ideal party favors.
