If you're using a boxed game it will give you ideas.

I have one that is a 50's theme and they suggested Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans & rootbeer floats. Or hambugers, french fries and milk shakes.

I have another one that has an italian theme and of course they suggest pasta, salad, bread and italian sodas.

If you don't have a game, but you have a theme use the kind of foods for that theme.

That would depend on the theme of the Murder Mystery (which, by the way, is a GREAT party idea!) ... If it's an Italian theme, then the spaghetti suggestions are great ... if it's a more glamorous theme, then you'd want something like Chicken Kiev and some fancy appetizers ... whatever...just try to match the menu to the theme
