Recently there has been no water coming out of the back visibilty spout and there has been minimal power to the engine. No matter how much throttle you apply it will not exceed 20 mph. This is a safety feature but I do not know why it is happening considering no lights have come on on the dash. Is this a problem, and how can it be fixed?

  1. well there is the problem, u went w/ a yami, should have got a seadoo. better luck next time

  2. There was a recall on the 2005 model for the same problem.  Call your dealer, if nothing else you should still be able to get this fixed for free under the original warranty.

Sometimes if you overheat your engine  the pwc goes into a "failsafe" mode such as what you've described, the only way to get it reset is by taking it to the dealer and having them check it out for possible damage before they reset it.
