Everything seems to cost money, even to auction on Ebay (their fees can be alot).  You might want to start selling items on www.ioffer.com (cheaper than ebay) they do not charge you anything upfront to list items, like Ebay does, until the item sells, then you just pay a small fee (from your sales).  If the item does not sell then you are not charged anything.  You might be able to genrate enough income to invest in a home based business this way.   Look around your home see what you don't need or want and look on the aucton sites to see the demand and selling points, then list yours.  You might be surprised.

I did this for awhile because I did not have alot of money to invest in a home business but I knew I wanted to work at home.

I eventually found a website that came with all the products for me to sell.  I paid less than $30 for it (you make this back and more within your 1st sale), now I currently sell from my website (my home business :)).

I didn't know about these types of websites but they are great because it gets you started and all you really need to do is advertise your website and products.  You can put those same products on other websites or auction sites.  The $30 is a small fee compared to the potential that could come with owning your own home business.

There are actually a lot of home based businesses out there. Finding the best home based business would be what you think is best for you, and not anyone else.  Sure everyone thinks that their business is best.  But what one business that's best for one person may not be best for the other person.  You really need to look for something that involves something that you can pour your heart into.  

Another thing is if your not ready to invest into a business, then you will not have a business.  Businesses takes time and money.  Home based businesses cost less, but you will have to invest into something.

well, you only choices are to invent something to sell or sell things that you have or buy things and sell them for more
