I'm working on a laptop, and just recently everytime I load internet explorer I get numerous pop-up ads. I have pop-up blocker and still are getting the pop-ups. I searched my computer with AVG scanner and they keep telling me the file _c00FC927.dat is the one causing problems, I have tried to delete the file with both AVG and on my own, and it will not delete...I've tried to restore my computer to an earlier date and it still wouldn't work...Any help would be appreciated...These pop ups are causing my internet explorer to crash...

  1. please dump IE and get Firefox 3---its a much safer way to browse the internet---

  2. That happens often on Internet Explorer. That seldom happens in firefox. Try it for a while and see the results.

  3. First off you might have to unistall that program... possibly idk about that, but i wouldnt use internet explorer

Go with Mozilla Firefox its a lot better and get Norton Internet Security its only 60 bucks for a year but is very good

  4. Open Internet Explorer and at the top under "tools" check to make sure that the IE pop-up blocker is turned on, also under the pop-up blocker settings make sure the pop-up filter is set on high.

Once you have the settings correct and the IE pop-up blocker is turned on close your browser and then re-open it so the new settings will take affect.

If that doesn't work, you may have to delete the registry keys for the file in question, but be careful with this operation because it is possible that you could delete the wrong registry key and do more damage than you intended to fix.
