I'm having friend problems! Help!?

Ok, so here's the story:

My friend Veronica said she wanted to invite me to her party, of course, I said yes.

When I got there on a Friday night, I had no idea my crush, Henry, would be there. Veronica left me to go get some punch, I looked at her and she looked real bummed out and bored.

Luckily, Henry saw me and came up to me and said, "Hey."

I smiled and said hi back.

Veronica saw and looked really jealous, and an evil smirk spread across her face.

She came right over and spilled her drink on me!

"Oops, I'm sooooo sorry," she said, trying to be cute.

Henry left, laughing because it was all over my hair and stuff! She stained my new pretty white shirt!

Veronica went up to Henry and danced with him, saying, "She likes you, can't you tell? Cute, huh? Her liking you? Hahahaha!"

He laughed and looked at me for a long time. I ran home crying.

Veronica is a VERY good friend, but I don't know what went wrong! We've known each other since I can remember and I trust her and love her like a sister. I had no idea she liked Henry! Or does she? Was she trying to just make me look like a fool because she was bored at her own party? Ahhh!!! Help mee!

a real friend doesnt do that kind of stuff. she could just be faking it for all those years. there are really good actresses out there you know. i'd say dump her and find someone who is trustworthy, nice, fun and not going to stab you in the back like she did..i know thats going to be hard to know after what happened though.

she must have liked him too and got really jealous when she saw him talking to you. so with the red punch in her hands it must have crossed her mind of what would happen. tell her how you feel. a real friend wouldn't do that. but then sometimes they do. so just tell her how you feel. is she really a friend to you though. but if she get that mad over one  thing then get a new best friend.

A real friend would never ever do something so cruel to you. It's time for you to let that so called friendship go. You will be hurt for a while, but in the end you will feel much better. You don't deserve to be treated that way and no ones does ever period!

Sweetheart, that's no friend. That's a frenemy. The girl code clearly outlines that you don't do anything to embarrass your friend in front of a prospective boyfriend or employer. The only thing she was doing was burying a knife in your back because she was mad that Henry wasn't paying attention to her. (BTW Henry isn't really a prize if he laughed at her obviously petty and childish behavior.) Chuck her and her passive/aggressive ways before the claws really come out and you end up like those girls beating each other up on YouTube.
