  1. There are many options that would look beautiful with grey carpeting.

Peach with dark grey or white trim.

    Blue with white trim.

    Lavender with grey trim.

Smokey grey with black or white trim.

    Pale green with grey trim.

There are many options with a grey floor.  Add some accessories in the colors you choose, grey and whatever, to tie the room together.

    Good luck.

  2. Grayish-blue sounds nice for a bedroom.

  3. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think a deep green like "hunt club" (# 6468) would look very sophisticated in the bedroom.

You can also take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions & they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.

  4. I work for a furniture magazine, and when I went to the Las Vegas Furniture Market last month, the Bassett showroom had the most incredible color on one of its walls. Lucky for me, there were little signs on every wall that said what the colors were.

The one I fell in love with, which I will be using for my bedroom in the next week or so, is Sherwin Williams Draftsman's Gray... #SW8042. But it's not really gray... it's blue, but it has a grayish cast to it - absolutely gorgeous.

I did a google search for an image of the color so I could show it to my husband. The picture I found looks a little bluer than it did in person, though. Go to this link and scroll down, right past the weird little animals cut from wallpaper. The next photo is an interior shot, and the color is on the room in the background, through the doorway...

It's kind of ironic for me to have found that particular picture, because the color on the walls in the room in the foreground are pretty darn close to my living room, office and hallway walls.

The Bassett showroom had a bedroom group against their Draftsman's Gray wall, and it had bluish and sage green bedding. But I think it would look fantastic with gray carpet!

  5. A shade of lavender would be beautiful.
