For the past 3 days, i've been having horrible hot flashes and irritating headaches. I woke up one night sweating and completely confused. I've tried researching this, but the only result that has come up is menopause, and i'm confident it's not that. Help?

  1. It is more then likely a hormonal change and you maybe getting ready to have your period.Just because your period is not due for another 2 weeks does not mean the hormonal changes are not there.

You might be getting the touch of the flu-24 hr.bug . It might of been something you ate?

If this continues and is bothersome to you, I would go to the G.P and have complete blood work done including a thyroid check. Good luck to you

  2. Nope . .  just your hormones acting crazy, hate to tell ya but this will be a lifelong battle & u may end up having to get regular checkups to monitor your hormone levels. They tend to go up & down in some girls/women more than others.

  3. your period is probably coming up

    its def not menopause lmao

dont worry about it just endure

or take some motrin or pamprin or some other pain reliever for women

  4. Most likely jut changes in your hormones before your period.

  5. Most likely option: probably migraines. The hormone changes that start with getting your period can often cause menstrually related migraines. Migraines are accompanied in many people by hot flashes. Is the headache more on one side of the head than the other? That's typical of migraine.

Option two: you could have an ovarian cyst that is causing hormone strangeness. Rapidly changing estrogen levels can cause hot flashes. Your period will possibly be a little strange, or you'll get ovarian pain, as support for this option.

As for menopause: OK, this is very rare, and a long-shot option, but there is such a thing as premature menopause. The ovaries just stop working, even at age 16. The way to check for it is to do a blood test of your FSH. An abnormally high level  is a strong indicator of premature menopause. And having a normal level is a strong indicator you don't have it. If your problems don't  go away, but stay, almost constant, plus you get more symptoms, like dry mouth, then that's an indicator your ovaries aren't working.

  6. Its probably your period.
