I'm having lamb for lunch, should I have mint sauce with it?

I don't really like mint sauce that much.

  1. have you tried mustard or mustard sauce?,I dont like mint either,get a carton of single cream,add a tablespoon of english mustard,a spoonfull of dijon(or any grainy mustard) and a pinch of sugar and boil it untill it reduces to a tangy thick mustard sauce,its lovely with lamb,its also good with chicken and pheasant and guinea fowl.you can add fennel seeds for extra flavour.

    I would recommend trying this-if you dont have time to get the ingredients try lamb and plain mustard,its really nice and mustard seems to go well with roast pots too!

    That sounds so good, I may head off to the supermarket now and get some for myself!

    Seriously though, if you don't like it why bother?  Just make sure you eat your greens... otherwise no pud for you! :-)

  11. Lamb is absolutely delicious with Argentine chimichurri sauce. Probably too late for lunch today, but consider it for next time.

    CHIMICHURRI

    Ingredients

        * 1 bunch flat leaf parsley

        * 8 cloves garlic, minced

        * 3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

        * 1/4 cup red wine vinegar

        * 1 lemon wedge (juice of)

        * 1 tablespoon diced red onion

        * 1 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)

        * 1 teaspoon black pepper

        * 1/2 teaspoon salt

    Directions

       1. Pulse parsley in processor to chop.

       2. Add remaining ingredients and blend.

       3. Separate sauce into equal parts.

       4. (Use half for basting or marinade).

       5. (Use other half for table service).

    Serves 6.

    Some lambs don't mint.

    My lamb likes garlic.

    And ice cream for desert.

    And not too many people at the table.

    please try onion sauce,buy a packet

    in the supermarket,believe me you

    will not look back !

    sweat a little chopped fresh onion in

    a little butter,add a little water & cook

    the onion then follow the packet,

    i HATE mint sauce.

  25. If you are not too keen on plain mint sauce why don't you try apple sauce with a teaspoonful of mint sauce added, goes great with lamb.
