Question:

I'm having long and vivid dreams, why?

I moved into my own apartment a week ago, and every night I've had long, detailed, and sometimes bizarre dreams (including three lucid dreams).

I'm not complaining, but is it possible there's some toxin or mold causing it? Or could it be a psychological thing? Thanks!

  1. i have been getting some fuxked up dreams too lately. maybe it is just you are in a new house so ur mind is like WTF IS GOIN ON!? and ur having weird dreams

  2. Who's your dealer? j/k, i would be very interested to know what was causing this. I used to get really lucid dreams after finally relaxing following a long, stressful time period (like cramming for exams for weeks). Was moving into the apartment a positive thing?

  3. residual energy left by the last owners. Have fun in ur lucid dreams.

  4. Dreaming is part or REM sleep. (rapid eye movement) this is when our mind and body dreams so as to subconsciously sort through the information and experiences of that day. We always dream although we mostly do not remember doing so.

Dreaming or REM sleep is essential and we must have it otherwise our minds would overload, causing mental problems (psychotic break or extreme irritation) and in extreme prolonged cases can apparently be fatal.

Since you have moved into a new home you have had many things on your mind and a higher amount of stress. Your brain is simply working through all these issues and objectives when you dream creating more vivid dreams. When you are settled in your new home, your life has calmed down and your not thinking of all the things you have to do or doing excess activities etc you dreams and REM pattern should calm down.

    hope this helps

  5. I think that is normal. Moving house is a major change, and your subconscience is trying to deal with it. Even if the dreams do not necessarily relate to your actual moving home, your mind is occupied with so many different things throughout the day where there is no time to deal with everything sufficiently.

I had exactly the same when I moved into my first own home, and it was like that for months. I used to dream, but at the same time I was aware that I am dreaming but couldn't wake myself up. That was really weird and scary, but it gradually went away again.

As long as you don't suffer or have terrible nightmares I wouldn't worry about it.

Changes in life are always terribly exciting!
