Question:

I'm having problems with birds eating and building nests in my hanging plants. Are there any bird repellents?

I'm particularly looking for some kind of spray or something that isn't going to harm the birds or look awkward in a small potted plant.

  1. Take an old T shirt or something WHITE that your don't need anymore.  Tear long strips about 2" wide and 4' long.  Tie then to the hangers of the planter above and beneath the plant itself.

Tie them on each plant and tie as many as you can.

For some reason birds are "repelled" by these flying ties.  They should stay away from the plants.

HOWEVER, if they have already built a nest, forget it.  Birds return to their nests every season.  You may as well just leave the plant somewhere where it won't bother you but the birds can still nest and do their thing.

    GOOD LUCK
