I'm having problems with roses.?

All summer long they have been there (green) but no blooms. So I bought some fertilizer--Bayer. A few of the rose bushes perked up and now I have many blooms, the other bushes not so much. And now I noticed some leaves with holes in them which are from the j*p. beetles. What do I need to do or buy to keep roses bushes looking perky and keep those beetles away? Thank-you

  1. I have found that a dash of the cheep dolor general bug killer about every 4 to 6 weeks, helps rid the beetles. I have read that if people grow a piece of garlic in between the flowers in there bed will also defer the bugs. I have had problems with roses blooming. We had a bush for years that did nothing. Then finally it got a couple blooms that rotted off. So I did some Internet inquiries and found that blood from your Hamburg or roast beef given to the roots of your rose bush works like nothing I have ever seen. I watered the blood down and gave it to the rose bush. For the first time ever the bush was loaded with roses.

    Good luck!

  3. treat your yard in the fall with a biological control (milky spore disease) before the ground freezes to infect the grubs( larva stage) otherwise hand pick the adults off .
