Hi, my Wii control is not working properly! It works fine for games which don't require any motion like Attack Of The Toybots in which you don't have to wave the Wii control around at all, but for other games like Wii Sports - Tennis, Baseball etc it just doesn't work! As in, I wave my control but my Mii doesn't swing the bat! I know it can still point at things, like my cursor still appears as usual. I've tried syncing it, putting new batteries in it etc, but nothing works! Pleeeeeaaaase help, thank you so much!

  1. make sure the sensor bar is working properly and that it is somewhere where you can easily point and use it. Make sure there is nothing between the wii mote and the sensor bar but other than that you try syncing it again or replacing the batteries or you can click the home button on the wii mote and click the wii mote options and click disconnect then follow the on-screen instructions and then see if it works. and remember the controller will only work if it is set to player one. Like you can have player 2 controller and point to the t.v. but nothing happens because it is not player 1's controller so see if that is the problem. Other than that just take it back where you bought it and ask them what to do.

    good luck

  2. Try re-positioning the 'pick-up bar' usually placed on top of TV, also check it is plugged in firmly.

The 'pick-up bar' needs to be level with the controllers, if too high or too low it will not work properly.

  3. It's not the Sensor Bar, as that only deals with the on-screen cursor.

Your accelerometer is either stuck or broken. If it's stuck, you can unstick it by turnign the Wiimote upside down and slapping it on your palm a few times. If it's broke, you'll have to send it to Nintendo for repairs or replace it.

  4. Are the four small squares at the bottom of it lite up ? if so it should work but if they just flash when u press a then u need to press the home key and go on wii control/remote settings and have a mess about on there ! good luck x

  5. It may just be to do with the censor. Put the censor bar in the centre so it is opposite of where you will be standing to make sure it is registering. Often you can still click on things, but when it comes to games like Wii sports it really helps to make sure you are standing in the right place

  6. i have serious wii control problems but then again i am incontinent

  7. Sounds like a "dodgy" controller - take it back and explain what is happening!

  8. Tap the controller on the back a few times.

  9. your remotes' accelerometer is stuck.

turn your remote so that it's facing down, and hit it on the back.

the pointer still works because the pointer and the motion sensing don't work the same way.   the remote uses it's camera at the top to "see" the lights from the sensor bar, so that it can tell which way it is pointing relative to the lights.

it uses an accelerometer to sense motion.
