I'm having some boy trouble! Please help?

So there is this guy that I really think I like a lot.

Last year in eighth grade we started texting a lot, but we had never officially met in person or like talked in person.

So now I'm a freshman and he's a sophmore and the first week of school has gone by and we have texted a little but we haven't talked to each other in person.

Now, I'm not saying that he likes me cause I'm totally doubting he does cause there are these two girls that are now in eighth grade and they're like all over him like hugging him and stuff.

I really want to talk to him and I like him a lot, but I'm just really nervous and I don't want to act like those girls do cause I'm not 'like that' if you know what I mean? Haha. So can anyone help?

You could ask him in person if he wants to hang out sometime. And if he says yes, then you can get to know him a little better. You can also ask him if he likes you, and if he doesn't, then you could just be friends.

You can introduce yourself and be like, "Hey." Yeah, he'll be like, "Who are you?" And then you can introduce yourself and be like, "Uh, yeah, I'm the one who you texted a whole lot in grade 8. We never actually met in person, but here I am." Give him a bit more detail and if he seems interested in you and is nice. Then maybe you can hang around his locker sometimes and ask him after a few weeks. "So you wanna hang out sometime?" Just be causual about it don't blush or anything cause then he'll think your either a nervous wreck or your in love with him. Just be casual. If he says no then just be like, "Oh okay," or "Okay then, I'll see you around?"  Just be nice. If your too shy than just watch him from your locker or when you walk down the hallway and wave hello or just smile. Or you can always get one of your friends to introduce you to him. If you see one of those two girls hanging out be his locker. You can go and introduce yourself and say hi. If they say anything mean to you just try and look hurt and uncomfortable and then just leave. If he really likes you he'll be like, "Guys stop it." or "She didn't mean that." But if he doesn't like you he'll just let you go. And if you see him hugging one of the girls in the hallway or something just give him a forced smile or roll your eyes and walk away.
