I'm having techincal issues with my guitar?

whenever i try to plug in my epiphone sg 400 all the sound that comes out of the guitar is fuzz...complete fuzz, when u strum the strings nothing happens, the overdrive switch is off too help pls?

  1. Try plugging it into a different amp, it might be a bad cord, or a lose wire somewhere in your guitar.


  2. Very simple, raise the master volume of your amp and lower the gain to 2 or 3. That should give you a super clean sound.

    The more distortion you want, raise the gain and lower the Master volume.

  3. Try all of Jim V methods hands down. I would also suggest turning off the preamp button if its on. OR try switching channels and see what happens. One of the speakers could have blown or the filament have torn....

  4. Could be a number of things.  Start by working through a process of elimination:

    1.  try a different cord, to make sure its not a faulty cord

    2.  try plugging your guitar into a different amp

    3.  try plugging a different guitar into your amp

    This will help you figure out if the electrical problem is in the cord, the guitar or the amp.
