Quoted passage is. My assignment is telling me to choose 3 quoted passages from a book. Would that mean I have to choose only passages that are in quotes from my book? Or did they make a mistake, and I can choose any passage from the book? Also, can a passage be one sentence or would that be too short?

  1. I believe it means passages that are quotes. Obviously if you choose passages they are quotes from you, but the fact that the put "choose three quoted passages" means they must be quotes in the book. And yes, I think you can choose a one-sentence passage.
