I'm having trouble viewing YouTube videos?

OK, so I go on to YouTube and I try to look at a video and in the spot of the video, it comes up with this message: "Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash Player (linked)." I go to turn JavaScript on and I restart the computer, but it still doesn't work. So I go to download the Flash Player and it says this message on a gold bar at the top of the page: "Internet Explorer has blocked this site from using an ActiveX control in an unsafe manner. As a result, this page may not display correctly." After this I refresh my page and sometimes it says the exact same thing, but other times it says the Flash Player's successfully installed. So after those times I go back to YouTube, but it still won't display the video. If you could help me I would be eternally greatful. Thank you.
