Question:

I'm having trouble with my glasses?

So today I got new frames with a new prescription. I have been wearing hard contacts for a little over a year. These glasses are just for times when I'm not wearing my contacts but the prescription is too strong, stronger than my contacts prescription. Every time I put them on I get dizzy, and when I take them off I get dizzier and when they are on everything seems a bit rounded and smaller. I feel like I have no sense of dimension too. I'm near sighted and I have terrible vision. What's the matter?

  1. It takes a while to get used to a new prescription, but it should only take a day. It could take longer, though, if you are not constantly wearing them. If they make you feel sick, have the prescription tested. It is very important to make sure you have the right prescription. I didn't, and now I can see as well as before the glasses. The  optometrist could even have given you the wrong prescription. You might try seeing a different one.

  2. I'm near sighted and wear contacts day and glasses at night also. You just need to get used to them. They are a big difference. My glasses are stronger than my contacts. If they don't seem better after about a week, then you should talk to your optician.
