I'm having trouble with my landlord i don,t have keys to house to let the gas company in to turn the gas off

the gas is in my name she is being a real jerk about being at the house to let the gas company in if gas is not taken out of my name any gas they used will be billed to me. what can i do i live in mich

It was your responsibility to take care of this before you moved out. You should have scheduled the turn off on the day you moved out, so that you could let them in.

Generally, the gas service gets transferred into the next tenant's name or transfers back into the landlord's name.

Call and tell the gas company to close the account.  They will shut the gas off at the meter, and remove your name from the account.

You should not have to let them in to turn it OFF ...it's when they turn it on that they need to make sure everything is lit and working as a safety precaution.

Last I checked, the gas company doesn't need to go inside a home to turn it off.

That's usually done from the outside.

Never, ever heard of that.
