I'm having troubles with my DVD player.?

Iv tried everything. My old DVD player broke, i just bought a new one but the screen is split in 2 and a sign saying P SCAN its in the middle of my screen. I have no clue how to fix it. ha ha. please help me out.

Just Take it back and exchange it for a new one to avoid the frustrations.

Your DVD player is in progressive scan mode, but your TV is an older, interlaced, model which cannot handle progressive input. You will need to find the menu item in your DVD player's setup menus to turn off progressive scan. You might have to connect your DVD player via composite video long enough to fix this issue, then you can reconnect via component.

Pan and scan turn it off should either be on the menu or the remote. Hope that helps
