I'm headed to a bar.b.q in a few hours and wanted to bring something fun!?

Question

any ideas? It's a 25-35 year old heavy drinking crowd. Maybe a punch or something along those lines? I wanted to make some alcohol fruit but I didn't plan ahead.

Why not stop and get a couple of cheese wedges and some crackers?  Brie and a sharp cheddar would be good .....  If they're drinking alot, then the cheese will help absorb some of the alcohol, and also tastes good with liquors .... Or storebought fresh salsa and tortilla chips.......

Make some cherry bombs. BUy a big bottle of Marischino cherries, pour off the juice and fill the bottles with Everclear. Only takes about an hour for them to saok up the alcohol!

Of course the longer they sit the better
