  1. i'm going to community college in the fall too, and i have to tell you that there's really nothing "special" you should know about. I will tell you that community college is still college and the only thing you have to bear in mind is that what you do there counts. i don't know if you're like i was (and i won't assume), but i was very dejected when i found out at first that i would have to go to community college because i always thought community college was for dummies. it wasn't until a friend of mine said to me that a college is a college is a college and it doesn't matter at all what the name is, all that matters is what i do there. that's the same thing i will say to you: it doesn't have to be special to be valuable to your future. it's what you get from the experience, and what you do with the experience later on in life that matters. ok. enough dr. phil. lol. goodluck

  2. it's like high school all over again..

just with grown ups this time.

your teachers will give you sheet..

with supplies, books, grading policy and rules for the class.

just on your first day take a notebook and a pen you wont need much more.

avoid bullsh*t ppl that aren't doing anything.

just try to have fun with it.

find new ppl to chill with that are cool.

  3. In college you pretty much pick your own school supplies unless your professors have a preference.(If they do it will be on the syllabus)  Buy some single subject notebooks to take notes in, folders to keep papers in, and maybe a couple single subject binders to keep everything all together, a highlighter, a planner, pens and pencils.  Thats basically all you need.  If you plan on taking your laptop to class buy a nice laptop bag.  Avoid buying too much stuff. You don't need that much.

As for things to do for fun, look on your schools website.  Find out about orientation events, sports, performances, clubs and welcome activities early.  Get involved and you'll have a great experience.  Good luck!
