I'm homechooled and in 10th. I want to go back to high chool for 11th?

Question

Last year for 9th I took only Math(algebra I), science, English, and history. I know this isn't right. Now i'm scared I don't have the credits for 11th. This year (for tenth grade) i'm taking Geometry, Physical science (i think) bible >.<, history and geography, Language, and spanish (it's not even spanish I; it's elementary spanish). I'm a little pissed off. I have two years of PE (Tae Kwon Do) and I think that counts as half a credit and I don't even know if they'll take my word for it. What i'm wanting to know is if can still start public high school next year and just jam my junior and senior year with all the classes that are required to graduate. I live in Louisiana if it helps. Any help will be greatly appreciated. :)

(I use Switched On School house online and I can't for the life of me find out if I can transfer to public school from Switched-On Online.)

don&#039;t go back to school you can have a perfectly fine career if you homeschoo! but if you really want to it sounds like you have done plenty of stuff the school should let you in ......good luck

I&#039;m sorry but you may have to be held-back... I&#039;m in 8th grade in a public school and taking algebra I and spanish I...try to contact a guidance counselor at the school.

Unless they let you I tend to doubt it.

You will also need to take a year of Biology and then either Lab/Math Chemistry or Physics and Trig or Pre Calc or Calc

Most schools won&#039;t let you graduate unless you complete 12th grade.

Without the math and biology I can&#039;t see how you will do that unless you school all year round and then try and get into 12th next sept.

But you better be ready for Trig and Math Chem or Physics and Civics and Statistics

You better be VERY ready because COLLEGE requires advanced Algebra-Trig for 1 year or in science majors Calc 1 and 2

They also require English Grammar and you better understand styles like APA

You have to pass the SAT/ACT test which goes to Calculus 2

You have to pass the college Math and English placements.

sometimes they just make you take test on of my friends started public high school in 9th grade and when they tested her she tested a grade ahead so she went in as a 10th grader

but then another of my friends went to a private school and they made her take some summer classes to catch up for the next semester

unless you have done a great job at home you are going to be shocked to see how far you are behind in you classes
