I do online school, to be specific, which leaves me at a loss for as to how I'm supposed to meet new people. Does anyone know of any websites I could go to to meet other homeschoolers?

  1. Do you live withing 50 miles of other people?

If you do. you can  join civic clubs, do volunteer work, get a part time job,  hang out at the malls,  or simply go where other young people gather.

You will start out with a group of friends.  After you have established a relationship with the group,  you can narrow your search down to a particular person that you would like to 'go out with'.

You can create online frienships in any of the chat clubs online, but it sounds to me that you need some face to face social contacts.

Get out and get going.   There are people outside.  Homeschooling gives you the time to be active because you have the freedom to control your schedule.

  2. Why aren't you involved in any activities, clubs, sports, classes, organizations, or homeschool groups in your community? I am, and so are most homeschoolers. Most homeschoolers do in fact lead very active social lives out in the real world. I myself have lots of friends that I see and do things with all the time AND a wonderful boyfriend who recently graduated from a public school. You don't have to be at school to meet and socialize with people. You just need to step outside your door and get out into the REAL WORLD. There's a lot out there that you can be taking advantage of. Don't give homeschooling a bad name or play up the socialization myth by actling like just because you're homeschooled you have no way of meeting people. You just have to get up and go out and get involved instead of sitting in front of the computer all day. Really

  3. For your social life here's some ideas:

*You can look around the community for kids that are home schooled. (

    groups)

-Some communities have groups of kids that are home schooled & they do different activities together!

    Usually all ages.

    *Parish Youth Group

-Most churches of every religion have youth groups who do different things with their parish & if you belong to a church look and see if they have a youth group!

    There alot of fun :)

    *Join a sports team!

Even if your not good at that sport join a sports team in your area of any sport.

*Help out at a food bank

-You'd have fun and meet alot of people!=]

As far as websites for you I am not sure of any but I hope this helped!
