I am a vegetarian; therefore, recipes need to be veg friendly or easily substituted. Also, I would like the visual to be interesting, fun, and slightly risqué. Links, recipes, or any advice would be great!

  1. I just looked at the website, and recommend your own products.

  2. fruit kebobs & stick the skewers into a whole, fresh pineapple.  You could even use that as a centerpiece!  .... Most of my recipes use dairy or eggs, and I don't know if you can eat that:) ......

    MARINATED MUSHROOMS

1 lb. fresh mushrooms (washed & cut in half)

    1 red onion, sliced

1 bottle good Italian or Balsamic Vignarette dressing

sprig of fresh rosemary (if you have it)

Pour salad dressing over the mushrooms in large jar or glass dish;  chill at least 8 hours.... serve with toothpicks

    SALSA DIP

    4 chopped tomatoes

    3-4 chopped green onions

    1/2 small green pepper, chopped

1 small can chopped mild green chilies, drained

1 small can sliced ripe olives, drained

1-2 TB. EACH vinegar and olive oil

    oregano

    salt & pepper

Mix all ingredients together.  Chill for several hours .... serve with tortilla chips

  3. taco dip is always good at any party!

mix 2 pkgs softened cream cheese and one small container of sour cream with two pkgs taco seasoning- spread on serving dish

top with shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, shredded cheese, black olives and green onion

    serve with good tortilla chips

if this is one of those naughty toy parties you can pick up some p***s shaped pasta at the naughty store and make p***s pasta salad- add veggies like tomatoes, cucumbers, cauliflower, broccoli, cubed cheeses and mix with Italian dressing

  4. This looks good and seems to have no meat..looks easy to make and cheap if theres lots of guests coming.

    Enjoy your party!!!

  5. Rolls.

Take a slice of sandwich bread and spread it with butter or margarine.

With a corner of a square or rectangle of bread pointing toward you, place across bread corner to corner the filling and roll up.

    Fillings to consider:

Shredded chicken with some S & P or mayo

        Asparagus spears

Surimi, a few slim slices of lettuce and a seafood dressing.

Present with the open ends upper most so people will see the filling they want

    Spring Rolls.

    400 grams Pork Mince.

    500 grams Cabbage, finely shredded.

    200 grams Green peas.

    200 grams Carrots, diced.

    1 Medium Onion, diced.

2T Soy Sauce. (sweet - optional)

    Spring Roll pastry. (25 sheets)

    2T Flour.

    4T Water.

    Garlic.

Fry off the mince in a wok or frying pan, and put aside.

Fry off onion and garlic and return mince to pan.

Simmer the veggies until they are just cooked and drain.

Add veggies to mince, onions and garlic and combine.

    Cool.

Mix Flour and Water into a paste.

Place 2T (heaped) onto a corner of pastry,  and roll over once. Brush edges with flour paste, fold over sides and roll up firmly.

Place on a plate and cover with a clean damp towel, as you prepare the rest.

Brush rolls liberally with oil, and bake a 200C for 12-15 minutes.

Alternately shallow of deep fry until golden.

    Drain and serve.

I can't think of what you could use instead of the mince (above) perhaps other veggies to give it a lift.

    Hot peppers.?

    Sweet peppers.

You could also make them with curried rice.

Both are popular here with Fish 'n Chips from the chippie.
