I was wondering what do the girls here like from a guy. Also I want to ask a girl out but I don't speak dutch, I know most people here can speak some Engish. Ok

prostitution is legal there you know? if you want to meet a girl without paying for it then just go to bars or smile at them in the street and talk to them,if they dont speak English then find another..just like anywhere else mate..

Well it's great you are having a fun time, and as you have probably realised, yes there is more to Amsterdam than the stereotypes.  First hand experience beats second hand hearsay any day

Most people in & around A'dam have a level of English varying from just the basics to practically bi-lingual, so just go and chat to whoever you want..... the worst that can happen is that they say no and go away!  

I'm not sure from what you are saying if you are on holiday or staying here more on a (semi) permanent basis.  In which case, if you start learning the basic's of Dutch then it's a perfect route to opening a conversation.... (asking someone to translate or explain something, and just chatting from there on in)  I heard from a friend that there was a guy who learnt Dutch just from travelling on the metro and reading the newspapers and just getting people to chat to on the metro!.... of course you have to have a good level of confidence and the ability to take a knock-back, in order to do this

Anyway, just be yourself (at the end of the day, putting on a cover only lasts so long), and with that positive approach you will do just fine :0)

im dutch but i live in america. we arent all the same every dutch girl is diferent it just depend on what you like.
