I'm in Canada but its not working???

Question

I use mtv.ca but since last nite i cant watch videos. It's tellin me I have to be in Canada but I am and its not workin is there somethin i can do to fix it or is a problem everyones havin??

Some websites require you to be in a certain area to access the site.  For example, CTV.ca does not work outside of Canada either.

I believe the only way to do it is to use a proxy server.  You have to 'trick' your internet connection to think that you are really in Canada, even though your IP address says otherwise.

It's probably, for some reason, reading your IP address as if you were not in Canada. If you're close to the border your internet could somehow be routing through a US server. Try resetting your router and see if that fixes it.

that happens sometimes with the internet connections. Mine says I'm in Maryland all the time, but I'm in Connecticut.
