  1. Homeopathy is particularly effective with lyme disease, and often with quickly observable results. Catching it early is in your favor.

The remedy you need depends on your constitutional symptoms. Your problem is beyond self-help care (otherwise, you can bet the medical profession would offer homeopathy).  Few people understand that homeopathy is the philosophy, not the remedy, so you'd need to contact a certified homeopath, who would talk with you for an hour or two to understand your individual presentation of lyme (it somewhat varies), then research and recommend a remedy that will restore balance (and cure the underlying susceptibility that allowed lyme disease to take hold in you, and not another). In N. America, http://www.homeopathicdirectory.com. Worldwide, homeopaths are otherwise pretty available.

  2. You placed the question under alternative medicine, so I assume you are open to a holisitic perspective on treating Lyme.

There are a few options. One is to go to a doctor and get put on a 30 day round of doxycycline or comparable antibiotics. This will probably help, but I wouldn't bet on it clearing the infection. After 4 weeks, the infection has had the chance in get into places that antibiotics won't clear out quickly, plus it usually takes treating lyme over several life cycles, which are 28 days each.

So another option is to go to a high quality LLMD (Lyme literate medical doctor). I prefer by a long shot those who are holisitic and highly experienced.  There are quite a range of these types of doctors though.

Next, you would benefit from reading up on lyme and it's treatment options. Lyme is the kind of thing that you really need to have an education about, because getting better from it is usually not as simple as following a doctor's orders. Usually it takes dedication and self direction as well.

Two books really stand out, one is "The top 10 Lyme disease treatments", and "The lyme diease survival guide"

I'll give links at the bottom. If you have any other questions, go ahead and post, feel free to read my other answers, or email me.
