I'm in modesto junior college and need help with physical education?

hi I'm a student in Modesto junior college in modesto california

my question is that I'm 5'2 117 lb and i have a disability

my disability is that my mom had anabolism when she was pregnant and that affected me and was born with the disability

is that i cannot grab anything with my right hand............ only the right side and i been wanting to be in basketball try out do you think that is an obstacle that the coaches might say no you cannot because of your disability

i been playing for fun and some friends said for only having one hand that I'm pretty good and suggested i should try out but I'm afraid what they are going to say

what do you think

i love basketball sense i was 10 what do you think ?

  1. I know a guy who was an All-County soccer and basketball player who has only one hand because of a birth defect.  He used the end of his arm to steady the ball.

    Show determination and spunk as you play.  Show that you can make layups from either side with your good hand.  Show that you can change directions dribbling, as well as pass accurately.


  2. You've got nothing to lose by trying.

    Tell the coach what you just told us and he should give you a try out.

    If you have skills & heart, you WILL make the team. Good luck!

    If you don't make the team, can you play in the league at the YMCA or at your church?
