i also didn't have proof of insurance. i received a notice in the mail yesterday stating that i now have a warrant for my arrest for not paying the ticket and not going to court. the ticket was initially for $180. the notice says my bail amount is $200. if i go to the court tomorrow to pay the $200, will they lock me up? i still don't have proof of insurance. once i pay the $200, will the warrant be automatically dropped? what should i do? i dont want to go the court, pay and wind up getting arrested.

  1. If you don't yet have insurance, don't drive to court.  Get a ride.  Once you pay the fine they won't arrest you, but they may ask you to come back and show proof of insurance or turn in your license.

  2. OMG OMG  You broke the law and now want to get out of it clean,.

You need to have  proof of insurance before you go to court. You have more than one charge on you. But do not drive to court no matter what. But I bet the judge is going to want to see proof.

  3. Pay the bond like was mentioned, but you may be turning in your license until you (wo)man up and get insurance like everyone else has to do.
