I'm in year 11, I want to drop a subject?

Before the second semester started, I picked up the subject Drama in exchange for Maths. I enjoyed Drama last year, and the year before, but now I really hate it and can't stand to have a day with drama as an elective. I haven't spoken to the year level co-ordinator about dropping drama because I'm a little scared she might scream at me, I'm doing 7 subjects and 6 is the minimum so if I drop drama it will be okay. However I'm not sure if the teacher will let me, because it's too late.

What do you think?

  1. i think it is best tooo just stick with drama because if u drop out you will be know as a persone who always gives up. u will be a failure~!!!

  2. If it wont hurt your grades, go and ask her, the worst that can happen is what your already going through, and the best that can happen is that you get to drop out like you want.

    Nothing ventured nothing gained.

After all, if your teacher ends up being a, well you know, about it, then get your parents in on it. The teachers, let alone your parents, should support you and go with whatever you decide to do!

Good Luck! (Sorry if I was dramatic XD)

  3. First of all the teacher will not scream at you. Talk to the teacher about this or go to high school counselor about this.

  4. Talk to your counselor (or whoever is in charge of your schedule) and see if you can work something out, if you can't your out of luck, sorry. Also try talking to your drama teacher too...

  5. You: I'm dropping this subject and that's that.

If she screams at you, you deserve it. Try and get into maths.

Try to apologise and tell her that drama isn't what you expected. Just pray she understands, if not, it's better you are free of Drama than stay in and hate it. Short term acute pain, to save you from long term chronic pain.
