Average base pay for new agents (unexperienced)?

Average compensation in commissions(unexperienced)?

What should I expect my first Year?

Is farmers insurance a good insurance company to work for?

How to negotiate higher starting pay, What does management want to hear?

  1. Run don't walk away from being a Farmers Insurance Agent.

You will pay for everything and they will give you little if any support.  Farmers Insurance is terrible to work for, make sure to see....

  2. It's straight commission.  95% of agents wash out, can't even make $1,000 in six months.

    Commission varies by product line.

There is no negotiation of starting pay - the insurance company doesn't want to be in the hole, if you wash out.

I'd strongly suggest, you get an entry level job at an agency near you, to see if you want to do this.  You HAVE to be able to sell, and you HAVE to be willing to put in massive hours the first few years.
