I'm interested in being a teacher/ instructor 4 distance learning but where do i go or how do i get certified?

also what schedule does a distance learning instructor have, could i work part-time?

  1. Are you talking about at the high school level (for which there isn't much call), or for college?  If college, there are no certifications.  If you have a masters degree or higher in some subject matter which is in demand, send your resume to your local college, or send it out to colleges with distance learning programs.  You would almost certainly be teaching one class, which is very much part time.


  2. A distance learning instructor should have the same certification as a regular classroom teacher. Call your local K-12 central office or university for details specific to your area, degree, or interest as there are often significant variations in requirements between schools, states, nations, etc.

    Some distance educators do work part time, some supplement or complete regular work hours, and others are full time. It depends on the needs of the school / district that hires you.
