Question:

I'm interested in helping young children?

I'm interested in helping young children who are struggling in other countries to survive. Does anyone know of some good websites where I can join and send a monthly donation? I've been told that sometimes these organizations end up taking the money for themselves, and only give like a dollar out of five. So I'm trying to find a legitimate organization. Thanks for your help

  1. My favorite is CARE International. They are definitely "for real", and doing real work to help women and children in the developing world. I've been very pleased to support them.

  2. christian aid

    red cross

  3. There are a lot of really good ones out there.  As well as a lot of good pretenders who don't do squat. You really need to research them and find out what they really do.  Even some of the religious ones get tremendous salaries for what they do.

  4. try this one

    childcareworldwide.org

    good luck!

  5. I would first check within your own community.  Volunteer to help mentor young people.  If you want to give financially check the organization out for their track record.

  6. I work closely with Rising Fountains Development Program.

They are small and don't have the operational costs that many of the bigger nonprofits have. You can email Mathias Zimba directly through the above website. He is wonderful and will work hard to pair you with a needy child.
