I would like to hear from people who have lived in spain or have studied abroad in spain.

Also It would be nice to hear from local spanish people.

  2. The best thing to do if you want to study Spanish in Spain is to go to your local college's foreign language department and see what programs will take you where in Spain.  

    When I went to Seville for a Semester in Spain stint in the fall of 1988, it cost me $3,000, which included air fare, tuition, room and board, and miscellaneous expenses. It was a good experience, even though I did have bouts of homesickness, a bad cold, and a couple of minor hassles related to my return trip.

    You should look on the Internet for any reference to the College Consortium for International Studies (CCIS).  They ran the program I participated in.

    If you do go, you'll love it...as long as you go with an open mind and a positive outlook.
