I'm interested in working from home while I'm at home on maternity leave, any suggestions??

At my job we don't get paid for maternity leave. I am using my vacation and sick time while I'm at home but I only have a little more than a week that I will be getting paid for. The rest of the time that I'm home I won't be getting paid.

Honestly, anybody that posts here is probably posting a pyramid scheme. They spend their days posting ads, looking for questions like yours, and posting what they know. If they get people to sign up, then they get payed. You'd have to do the same exact thing. Yes, you CAN make money, but it's terribly bothersome and considered SPAM if you ask me. Honestly, I have yet to come across a legit work at home experience unless you have proper education for the field (like filling out legal forms, accounting, and other things). Telemarketing (through phone), or collecting overdue medical bills by phone can work, but it gets stressful dealing with rude people all day if you ask me.

and yes, people post the worst schemes on here....anything where you have to pay to start working is ridiculous, thats how the person running the site makes money.

You dont say what type of experience you have, have you done any office, admin or IT work in the past?

the past week, all the work is home based, data entry, transcription etc. The only thing is you're competing against people from countries where the hourly rate of pay is a lot lower, so not sure if it would be worth it for you.

Its been updated today to include some Craft type jobs which can be done from home, mainly re-distribution, but it possible to make good money from it if you work hard.

So many online jobs are out there. In fact, to do any online job, you need not want to invest anything. Make sure, you dont pay anything to get jobs online.
