I'm interested in your perception/interpretation on Donnie Darko?

To me this movie made me have a serious revelation and somewhat changed my life in a way and made me think of things alot differently.

I think it's great if a movie has changed your life for the better, even if only slightly. I wouldn't go as far to say the same, but it definitely made me think.

I really liked that freakin rabbit, but I think it has something to do with him becoming some kind of super hero.

I got so confused by it. Its so dark that you don't know whats going on and i couldn't understand why he went back in time at the end to go and kill himself i lost all concentration half way through and couldn't understand the storyline at all.

if you know why he went back in time tell me please

I think it was a wonderfully imaginative film.  I would like to read the novel behind it if there was one.  It is right up there with "Memento" as one of my weird favorites.

To Carrie F.  It is one of those movies that doesn't make sense until the end.

Great movie that shows that sometimes to get things to work out for the best you need to sacrifice what you want the most.   What you want may not be best for the people you love and to make them happy you may have to leave them.

Watch The Butterfly Effect, not as dark, but to make the one you love happy sometimes you must....

That song makes it feel profound, but it really isn't. It's a good movie, but don't start saying it changed your life.

to me, its like hes the victim of a crazy circumstance and how could anyone be expected to cope. in the end, i dont think that he was actually a superhero, more like jesus giving his life for others.

I feel the same way about the movie. I saw it and loved it. It shows how everything can change if you do one thing differently. How it affects everyones life not just our own. Oh and he goes back to save his girlfriends life.
